"You became imitators of us and of the Lord." I Thes 1:6 Did you know the word, "Christian", means "little Christ"? We know the Lord Jesus is our supreme example. But how do you feel about telling someone else they can imitate your example of Christian living? Paul was confident of his testimony, upright in his actions and holy in his desires. He had no problem encouraging others to follow his example. But it's a scary thought to tell others they can imitate us on their way to becoming a better imitation of Jesus Christ. A basketball star recently told reporters, "I'm not anyone's role model!" That may have reflected his desire, but it was an impossible wish. For you see each of us, whether we're a Christian or not, is in fact an example of what we believe. If we are a Christian, think about this: "We may be the only Christ that someone ever sees?"
