Prayer Journal

"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me - just as the Father knows me and I know the Father - and I lay down my life for the sheep." John 10:14-15
The last reason why people don't pray: "They are not believers."
Paul wrote to Timothy about godlessness in the Last Days. He told him, "Many people would have a form of godliness but deny its power. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived." (1 Tim 3:5,12)
Even though Christianity is called a "religion", it is not! Religion is defined as "man living to please God, and reaching some form of holiness in the pursuit". Christianity, on the other hand, is defined as "God living IN those redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, God's son. The only thing holy about them is Jesus, who lives IN them" (cp: Col 1:27)
Even though those who practice religion may pray, prayer is but another service to their faith. But, to the Christian, prayer is as natural as breath itself! In fact, the Bible says that God will pray FOR them, when they are not able to express themselves. (cp: Rom 8:26)
Is prayer as natural as breathing to you? Do you know the redeeming grace of God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ? Do you claim to know God, but by your actions deny him? (cp: Titus 1:16) Or maybe, you once had a close relationship with Jesus but lately have "drifted away" from the faith. (cp: Heb 2:1)
