It's not surprising people from around the world find Prayertower a resource regarding prayer. Often they come asking prayer for themselves but sometimes they desire prayer for family or a friend. And those people are not always Christian who request prayer. Often they worship another god beside Jehovah God of whom they seek help. Most surprising of all however, if what some people ask of prayer warriors. For example, the other day a husband admitted his faith was not in Christ but in a Hindu god. Because his wife was a Christian, he asked me to pray for both of them, something I did freely. Another day I was praying for a pregnant woman of another faith who while I was praying, asked me to inquire of God whether the baby was a boy or girl. Oh, well... I don't condemn people of other faiths but instead take every opportunity to preach Jesus and teach about prayer. But I find all through Scripture that people not only search for God, but they also search for someone who seems to have a relationship with God and can speak to Him in their stead. Such it is for a prayer warrior who freely offers to intercede for others. Today, I'd like to remind you that prayer is the medium through which God intends for us to spend time with Him. In fact, that is the purpose for prayer; spending time with God - one on one. It's called fellowship and is the way a relationship between man and His Creator matures. Some people are not able to approach God because they have no access into His presence. It's understandable then, that they need someone else to explain God and help them. For the Christian on the other hand, Jesus Christ is our Door. In fact according to Scripture, He is the Way, the Only Way afforded for us to approach God. There is no access to the One true God except through Jesus Christ who makes a way. If you worship an image of god instead of having a personal relationship with Jehovah God, Scripture says you are dead in your sins. God can save you through faith in His Son, Jesus if you pray and ask to be saved. That's right! You can pray, confess your sinful nature, repent (change your sinful ways) and profess Jesus as Lord and you will be saved. But outside of this prayer, no words you speak can reach God. Don't misunderstand me; I count it a privilege to pray for a lost person who comes asking me to pray for them. But it would thrill me so much more to spend time in prayer with them knowing our time at Jesus' feet is only a shadow of what lies ahead for us both.
