As
for me, far be it from me
that I should sin against the Lord
by failing
to pray for you.
1 Sam 12:23 (GWT)
It never ceases to amaze me that we, Your people will not pray, much less humble ourselves and repent. Yet we will celebrate today and recount the past. We need to begin thinking about today and the future, and not find our glory in the past. We exist because of Your blessing, Jehovah God, and for no other reason. Do whatever it takes to call Your people to action, even it means destroying one more insignificant nation to prove a point.

9:05 AM [webservant] We should not be confused and think our nation is reponsible for anything good. Everything we did that seemed good was due to Your blessing on a people who believed anything worth living for was worth dying for. Today however, we exist to allow sin to flourish without contradiction. We dare not dispute those who can make our lives miserable. We honor the king but Your Holy Word disagrees everything he says or does. He speaks as one who knows you but acts as one who doesn't. He gets advice from Rehoboam's friends and responds to peer pressure, not the weight of responsibilty he bears for leading the most blessed nation in history.
[webservant] Still, You have ordained him and we will honor him. I never cease to be amazed that history forgotten replays itself. We are a nation of revisionists. Future children will never know the truth in anything because some liberal revisionist has revised the account and written what seems good to him. What will be written of our leaders will be skewed to reflect the agenda of politicains intent to change the country's direction. Even entertainers' bad choices will be diminished and glossed over to make them to appear normal. Life in America seems like a normal day at the foot of the tower of Babel.
[webservant] How long O Lord? What will be the final insult, the last stone stacked on our tower of Babel that brings you down to bring justice to the wicked. What will it take to demonostrate judgment to those who have died scratching their heads over the liberty given sin to run over Your people in the street? Our enemy? No doubt it's sin and we Your people have allowed it to run rampant and hurt people as long as it doesn't harm us.
[webservant] But the harm it caused was to put the godly to sleep. We're like the disciples urged to pray and keep watch for You while soldiers are marching on our poistion.
[webservant] Not only are we not praying, but we pretend we are. We look to see altars filled, but no one is concerned about Monday through Saturday, only appearance. You had bad things to say about breast beaters who were arrogant and prayed just to be seen. We need leaders to lead and followers to follow - those going in the right direction however.
[webservant] The time must be drawing near. The Laodician account seemed alien not long ago, but appears to be closer to norm today. Our holiness is not as apparent as some say and our direction not as clear as some indicate. We need a good cleaning and can't wait for Spring. If we mean business in Your service, some of our religious altars need to be torn down and we need to return to Bethel.
[webservant] Day after day I think I can wrap it up and move on, but for some reason You keep this truth in front of me and I can't get past it. Whoever You've elected to preach this, lead them, prepare the way before them, break down the arguments and quieten the arguers. Water the truth with grace and break through the shell of the status quo that has imprisoned us. Whatever it takes, move in Your people to take up the sword of the Spirit and begin using it. If I can help, use me as You desire - in any way You desire!
